influence: B. Weeden

I've heard nothing but good things about this book, I Want To Be Her by Andrea Linett. I haven't read it, but I mean its so incredibly relatable to basically every woman walking, right?! So why not post about a few of the ladies who have inspired and influenced myself and my sense of style..

My first fashion inspiration upon moving to the city was Brittany Weeden. I literally cant say anything bad about this lady! She was my first boss at my first internship at Topshop. In my interview with her I wore these wayy too business casual black dress pants, and this weird taupe 3/4 length cotton top with shoulder detail (frills?), ugh I cringe thinking about it! But out comes Brittany to the waiting room looking so effortlessly chic and walks me through the showroom (my first time being in a showroom, so of course im dying) to the room where we interviewed. She was so nice in our interview and when she hired me. She was nothing but helpful and inspirational throughout my time working there! She always looked so effortlessly great and although I had my own style, Brittany was a big part of why my first internship influenced myself and my sense of fashion. The way she would put outfits together really made my own style evolve and mature. Topshop was not high fashion, but it made me see fashion in a totally different way, as all of my internships would in one way or another. Anyway, Brittany stayed at Topshop for a while as PR coordinator but has moved on to pursue the art world! She was actually one of the people I talked to when I was deciding if I should switch industries! Brittany was one of my first inspirations and still is to this day. Not to get all dramatic but shes awesome.

  1. You couldn't have said it better. I think many who know Brittany would 100% agree that her fashion sense, as you said, is effortlessly chic. Great blog!
